Titianesque hall of the Russian Academy of arts February, 28 - March, 25, 2007.
From February, 28 till March, 25 in the Titianesque hall of the Russian Academy of arts there presents an exhibition « Rome. The first stop/ Roma Punto Uno ». The organizers of the project are the Academy of arts and the Italian institute of culture in Saint Petersburg. It is a mobile exposition which acquaints inhabitants of other countries with new generation of artists, that are somehow connected with Rome.
The main idea of the exhibition «Rome. The first stop», is very original: seventy one author finds the creative inspiration in the Eternal city far from stamps and stereotypes. Only the format of works (18x24) is general for all the artists. In their works they, each one in his own way, transfer the vision of the world, art, nature, historical development, progress, time, space and matter.
Each work and each author is a part of one mosaic, everyone has his own life and story which he wants to tell. At the exhibition one can see a portrait of the city, though, first of all, this original travel through pain and pleasure.
The exposition which now will be seen by people in St-Petersburg, has already visited South Korea and Japan. Now it meets the Russian spectator.
